Blow #1

This is my first bowl. I made it on the wheel, but someone chipped the edges when it was about to be fired for the second time, so it didn't turn out so great.... Oh well, I still really like it. It's purple (with some blue.... I don't know where the blue came from), and white on the edge (with more blue. Again, don't know where it came from). It is my favorite project so far yet I still have to use it.

Lantern

This is my lantern. It had a small bottom piece where the candle goes, and a top with slits on the side so that the light can shine through. The bottom is purple. The top is green with blue streaks down the sides. I made it all on the wheel.

Head Sculptor

This is my head sculptor. She is has black hair and brown skin and something is seriously wrong with her nose. She was made out of clay and it was super hard to make her because you have to do a lot of things. I think that this is my worst ceramics project ever.

Box

This is my box. I didn't do that great of a job on it. But that's okay. My mom still likes it. Correction: sorta likes it. (She would like me to make a new one.)

As you can see, there is an orange fish on one side, an umbrella and beach towel (on green sand....), a sailboat that's sailing in stormy weather (not so smart to do that; you'd probably get extremely wet.), and a sunny sun with birds flying above the ocean. That's my favorite side. It's also the best side. On top of my box is a colorful beach ball. The top of the box doesn't exactly fit on the box, so it's crooked (as you can see).

I made this box by cutting six 5''5'' square pieces of clay and sticking them together. And then I drew on my designs and made the beach ball to put on top. I then let it dry and get fired, and then I painted it. (Reason why the sand is green on one side is because I failed at making a brown color paint).

Mug

This is my mug. It's supposed to say "it's only make believe," but I forgot the E so it says "it's only make belive." It is blue on the outside with gold stars and a square-ish handle that is an off white color. Actually, I don't know what color it is. The inside is a light green. I made it with clay and it was pretty hard. It took my friend and I, like, five tries to make it. We're spazzes. (I don't even know if I spelled that right.) Oh well. This is my mug. 

Pinch Pot

This is my pinch pot. I made it out of clay. My designs are leaf-type lines with three little dots in between them. On the top, I have circular designs. My pinch pot was supposed to be the glazed blue you can see on the top, but it didn't work out that well. Oh well. My mom put a clove of garlic in my pinch pot so maybe it smells good. Or not.



Dragonfly Ceramics Project

This is my dragonfly that I made out of wire and paper mache.
It is purple with hot pink and white polka dots.
His name is Nemo, even though he is nothing like the fish. Oh well.
He was really hard to make because I kept on poking myself with the wire that wouldn't bend. It was very annoying. And then it sucked because he stopped being circular/round when I put the paper mache on him because it just bent in. So he's a little demented.
